  1. Am I guaranteed a contract or trophy? ^

I will tell you this, if anyone tries to give you a guarantee, you should turn and walk out the door. Your success depends on many things including luck and timing and especially your attitude and personality.

  2. If I do get a contract, will I need to leave for a foreign country right away and will I have to go if I don‘t want to? ^

No, it takes time and planning for you to be ready to go to another market. For primary fashion cities your portfolio needs to be strong and you need to have the maturity to be able to handle different places. It may take a year or two working to develop a model before he or she is ready to travel. It is important to know a model always has the right to say “no”. Some locations may not be right for you or your parent’s comfort zone. You will discuss all of this with us during your “after convention” interview.

  3. What type of expenses should we expect for wardrobe? ^

Zero—we fully expect to utilize the current wardrobe for each participant. We will help each person select outfits appropriate for each audition. The Agents prefer that the wardrobe is simple. There is no need for “prom gowns” or any type of elaborate outfit. However, we will give suggestions based on age, body type, and personal style.

  4. Do we make our own reservations at the hotel? Do we have to stay at the recommended hotel? ^

Yes, you will need to make your own reservation as explained on the “Events” page. Each participant must stay in the “Official Convention Hotel.” The Agents will also be staying there. This provides ultimate exposure, convenience, security, and a world-class experience.

  5. Do we all travel together? ^

It is an individual’s choice on how you plan your trip. Airfare rates vary each day. It is recommended that you book your ticket early. In a few cases, parents have arranged car pools. This is up to you!

  6. How will the “rehearsal workshops” help my son/daughter prepare for this convention? ^

We feel it is vital for a model or talent to be prepared before meeting the world’s top Agents. That is your Mother Agent’s job. The better you look, the better they look as Directors/Mother Agents. It is in our best interest that each person is well prepared emotionally, mentally, physically, and technically prior to attending IMTN or in meeting any top Agent. In addition, your son/ daughter will develop self-esteem and knowledge of the industry. The rehearsal workshops will build confidence necessary to give your son/daughter a competitive edge in this competition and an asset in whatever they do.

  7. If I am primarily interested in acting or talent, do I have to shoot with an International Photographer? ^

All our Directors/Mother Agents cross train all our contestants in both modeling and acting fields--you want to keep all opportunities open by being prepared in everything. The more skills you learn in our business the higher your income potential and the more skill you will have for life.

  8. Is it a must that we have photography done before we leave? Do we have to use a photographer that your staff recommends? ^

Your Director/Mother Agent will prepare you with the proper tools, like competitive photos, to be your best. To be the best that you can be, we recommend you have current photo shoots done before you leave for convention. We fly in nationally recognized photographers familiar with the trends in the industry at reasonable prices. These photographers have a knowledge of what is needed for marketing and participating at modeling events. ALL PHOTOGRAPHY MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE CONVENTION. Dates of photo shoots will be announced in advance. Experience in front of the camera is invaluable. Your photos are like your resume or business card. You want to have competitive professional photos to leave with the Agents.

  9. How much does it cost? ^

Prices vary from FREE lifetime memberships to exclusive packages that give you more of an edge. See details here

  10. What are the rules of uploading a “Main Image”? ^

The image will be resized to be 100 pixels wide, and it MUST be in JPG format. The image's proportions may not exceed 1:2 either way. This means that it cannot be 100 pixels wide and 201 pixels high, or vice-a-versa. The image is resized, so make sure it is bigger than 100 pixels WIDE to begin with.

  11. What are “Photo Groups”, and how do I use them? ^

Groups are set of photos that you name, organize and maintain. You can have as many groups as you like, with as many images in each as you like (as long as your image total does not exceed your limit below). For example, if you are allowed 50 images, you can have 10 groups of 5, or 5 groups of 10, or any combination in between.

  12. What are the rules of uploading images to my “Photo Groups”? ^

The image's proportions may not exceed 1:2 either way. This means that it cannot be 100 pixels wide and 201 pixels high, or vice-a-versa. If images are larger than 600 pixels in either direction, they will be resized. Images should be at least 100 pixels either side.

  13. How does the messaging (mail) system work? ^

The mail system is directly connected to the “my contacts” section of the user admin. When you save a user as a favorite, they become available in a convenient menu for you to choose from—like in your cell phone. You can still message other members if they are not saved in your contacts.

  14. How does the “Rating” system work? ^

The rating system is based on a 5 star system, and only models can be rated. The model's total average of all votes is shown as a sequence of star icons in the results and details page of their profiles. Only logged in users can vote.
